Simon gained his BSc Podiatry Degree at New College Durham School of Podiatric Medicine in association with the University of Sunderland Health Sciences (now Sunderland Medical School) and Newcastle University Medical School anatomy department.
Additional specialist learning was gained from attending the Royal College of Surgeons / Football Association joint conference at Lilleshall National Sports Injury Centre 1993. Simon continues with life-long learning by attending various relevant conferences and lectures and provides regular training sessions for colleagues. Simon has worked within NHS gait analysis and surgical departments. Since 1994 he has been contracted to work with elite sportspersons, Film & TV industry cast, British armed forces, Fire & rescue, Police services and speaker for University of Bath Post graduate Primary care Rheumatology course on the subject "Biomechanics of the Rheumatoid foot".
Expert Witness certificate achieved with Bond Solon & Cardiff University Law school.
Simon is HCPC registered and is a preferred provider for the major medical insurers and health schemes for foot problems requiring custom orthotic insoles (arch supports). Member of the Royal College of Podiatry.
